Jørn Utzon (1918–2008)

Denmark's most widely recognized architect, is remembered for his modernistic Sydney Opera House (1966)

Jørn Utzon had a unique, truly global style. He looked for inspiration in local building traditions or nature, from around the world. From that point onwards, he impresses his stamp of originality on all of his projects. This applied whether it was a building in an Arab desert, a group of houses in a Danish field, or his best know landmark, an opera house on a windswept promontory in Australia

Lamps were of special importance to Jørn Utzon. They were some of his early successful products at a time when there were only a few architectural projects. His most popular design: Utzon Tivoli Lamp was designed at the end of the 40’s.
