Jacob E. Bang at Holmegaard

Much of Holmegaard early glass work was derivative and inconsequential, but between the 1930s and 1980s its fortunes were transformed by the designs of Jacob E. Bang (1899-1965), Per Lütken (1916-98), and Bang's son, Michael (1944-).

The movement began in the late 1920s with the appointment as art director of Jacob E. Bang, whose designs included an amount of striking engraved work, and was continued in the clean forms of his successor, Per Lütken.

And today great designers like
Cecilie Manz are putting Holmegaard back on the design map!

Nimb

The former grandeur is now being revived at this legendary address.

Cecilie Manz designed the stemware for Holmegaard for the Løgismose-Tivoli’s ambitious transformation of Nimb. In heart of Copenhagen.

A delicatessen with its own dairy, kitchen and chocolate production, an uncompromising gourmet restaurant, a more informal brasserie, social and conference facilities, a large Italian-style wine cellar – and, of course, a small, boutique hotel of international standard. All under one roof.

Nimb Stemware named after Copenhagen’s new gastronomic landmark in Tivoli.

A long life with ceramics has taught Søren Thygesen to use the potential of the material to the utmost. With its winding curves and playful expressions, Vitino is a study in classic Kähler aesthetics with lines delineating the direction of the stalk of each flower.
